Mara Yamauchi is a two-time Olympian, Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, and the UK’s third fastest female marathon runner ever. In 2009, she finished second in the London Marathon and was ranked second in the world in women’s road running. She has also competed in 5 World Championships, 2 European Championships, and won the England National Cross Country Championships in 1998. Alongside Sharron Davies, Victoria Hood and other female athletes, Mara speaks up in defense of women’s sport in the UK.
